This field unit allows the installer to detect live
optical signal and the direction in which they are traveling. Using the unit is
extremely easy. Install the cable and pull the trigger. Within seconds the unit
will identify if there is traffic and the output modulation. The unit can detect
ranges of 270 Hz, 1 kHz, 2 kHz. The unit comes with three interchangeable dies
to test cordage sizes of 900um, 2mm and 3mm. Unit also comes with a carrying
case, and user manual. Unit runs of two AA batteries.
